Founded in 1891, the Maidstone Club is a private, family-oriented country club located in the picturesque village of East Hampton, New York. Rated a "Platinum Club of America", Maidstone is surrounded by golf courses along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses, designed by Willie Park Jr., are consistently rated among the Top-100 courses in the country. Our tennis facilities include 19 grass courts, two har-tru courts, and two all-weather courts. The Club also features seasonal beach facilities and swimming pool, Paddle Tennis, a Junior Activities program, wide range of food and beverage outlets, and banqueting facilities.

As the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of dining services for our members and guests, overseeing dining room operations and training staff. This includes overseeing Snack Bar operations in the summer and a la carte dining operations in the fall and winter, coordinating with management on club projects, and maintaining high service standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and exhibits a positive attitude towards learning and teamwork, while demonstrating strong leadership skills and attention to detail in upholding excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Training/Assigning Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for Snack Bar Attendants across all stations.
- Assign daily responsibilities to staff, ensuring optimal utilization of their strengths and fostering cross-training opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and flexibility in service abilities among Snack Bar Attendants.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Supervise the opening and closing procedures of the Snack Bar on a daily basis.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ensure proper functioning of POS systems.
- Collaborate with the management team to facilitate member functions and address any operational challenges.
- Maintain open communication with team members regarding staffing, member requests, and reservation logistics.
- Address member concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience for all.
- Direct pre-meal training meetings conveying important information and leading training to ensure staff are well-equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Manage dining room set-up based on anticipated member reservations.
- Handle reservations and greet members and guests.
- Perform any other responsibilities delegated by the Clubhouse Manager.
