Marietta County Club is located in Marietta, Ohio...a small, historic river community known for its charm, friendliness, and deep ties to American history. Situated at the confluence of the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers, it blends scenic natural beauty with a strong sense of heritage and civic pride.  Marietta was the first permanent settlement in the Northwest Territory (founded in 1788), and residents take pride in preserving this history. Brick streets, Victorian homes, historic museums, and Civil War landmarks contribute to the town’s distinctive character. Locals often describe Marietta as welcoming and tight-knit. Community events—from festivals and parades to farmers' markets and concerts—are central to life here. People tend to know their neighbors, and volunteerism and civic engagement are common.  The rivers shape much of the community’s culture. Boating, fishing, riverfront festivals, and scenic walking paths give the town an outdoorsy, relaxed feel. The riverfront is a gathering place for residents and visitors alike.  Marietta features locally owned shops, cafes, and restaurants rather than big-city chains. The historic downtown is a center of activity and a source of community pride.  The town is often seen as a good place to raise a family, with well-regarded schools, parks, and neighborhood events that create a supportive atmosphere for children and teens. Overall, Marietta, Ohio is a warm, historic, river-oriented community that balances small-town charm with vibrant cultural life.
