Eagle Oaks is known as one of the finest country clubs in New Jersey, if not the East Coast. Impressive, lavish yet relaxing and inviting. This is the Eagle Oaks experience. More than just a golf club, Eagle Oaks is a member’s home away from home. Golf members will appreciate the Johnny Miller/Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, heated bays, state of the art driving range, while social and sport members can take advantage of our Har-Tru tennis courts, pickle ball courts and aquatics center with three saline pools & private cabanas.

Award-winning dining facilities including a private upscale steakhouse as well as a casual dining room, in season tiki bar & grille, private cigar lounge, outdoor patio with grille overlooking the golf course and year-round invitations to the many family-friendly events (as well as adults-only gatherings), and on-site overnight accommodations are just a few of the luxurious amenities provided at Eagle Oaks.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities & Building Maintenance Lead to oversee the daily care and operation of a large private golf and country club in Farmingdale, NJ. This role is ideal for a former military service member with strong leadership, maintenance, and problem-solving experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment
Plan and execute preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
Handle basic repairs (lighting, fixtures, minor plumbing, doors, painting, etc.)
Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors as needed
Respond to building issues, alarms, and emergencies in a timely manner
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and simple budget/expense tracking
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, building codes, and company standards

Candidate Qualifications

Other Responsibilities and Duties:

Recruits, interviews, hires, and provides orientation for housekeeping staff
Develops housekeeping schedule, ensures daily tasks are completed
Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)
Able to operate and maintain HVAC equipment
Conducts daily inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to determine necessary maintenance and repairs
Secures vendor contracts for all facility systems
Maintains on-call status in the event of emergencies

Educational Requirements

Ideal Background (Veteran-Friendly)

Former military (any branch) with experience in:
- Base facilities / public works
- Equipment maintenance
- Utilities, infrastructure, or building systems
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a property
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize under pressure
Organized, reliable, and safety-focused

Base salary $75,000 – $85,000, depending on experience
