Clear Creek Tahoe is a private golf community, offering over 375 incomparable homes and homesites, an 18-hole nationally acclaimed Coore and Crenshaw golf course and a collection of family-friendly amenities. This begins with a beautiful clubhouse, our Twin Pines Lake and Ski House, several overnight guest cottages, a pro-shop and Summit Camp for all the outdoor fun our members/guests could want (swimming pool, games, tennis and pickle ball).  Clear Creek's rich history sits on 1,576 acres of expansive and pristine land just southeast of Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side.

Director of Food & Beverage

Job Description

The Director of Food & Beverage will be a dynamic, visible and accessible leader for staff and members.  This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the F&B operations, overseeing all outlets that range from casual to fine dining experiences, as well as an array of Club events.  This position has direct supervision of the front-of-house staff and partners with the culinary team to ensure that all members and guests always receive exceptional and genuine service reflective of our service standards.  Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Job Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise all front-of-house food and beverage activities to include assisting with the planning and execution of all club and member-sponsored events.
  • Ensure proper staffing and schedules in all F&B venues.
  • Formalize the training programs for new employees, ongoing training of current staff, and builds a strong and positive culture within the service staff.
  • Assures that member/guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained.
  • Responsible for the club's point of sale system and the training of staff to properly utilize the system.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of all sales reports to recognize trends and concerns.
  • Responsible for inventory and maintaining a robust liquor and wine program.
  • Monitors labor, ensure payroll procedures are timely and accurate, and evaluates scheduled and actual labor hours and costs.
  • Help develop new club events and creative ways of marketing them.
  • Interact with members to answer questions, solve problems, oversee services and ensure cleanliness to maximum member satisfaction.
  • Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and team members.
  • Participate in regular facility inspections throughout the F&B outlets to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety and other standards are consistently attained.
  • Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Undertakes special projects as requested by the General Manager.
  • Monitors team member dress code as applicable.
  • Always seeking ways to maximize service levels and to ensure excellence in the member and guest dining experience.
  • Oversee preparation of the front-of-house F&B annual budget, working closely with the GM and CFO.
  • Monitor financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and take effective corrective action when necessary.

  • A polished, professional, and proactive leader with a hands-on, service-driven mindset, who works calmly and professionally, even during stressful occurrences that may arise from time to time.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the club.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, train, and manage teams.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with ability to bring fresh ideas to enhance programming, menus and service offerings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business or a related field, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge in lieu of a degree, substantial experience in a club or hospitality setting will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage, banquets, club events and wine and craft cocktail knowledge, with culinary experience or education a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Strong organizational skills, paying attention to details and multitasking abilities.
  • The role requires extended hours at times, including evenings and weekends, especially during peak season. Available to work flexible hours.
