A premier private club is seeking a polished and experienced Service Manager to lead dining room and event service operations. This leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences while overseeing all front-of-house service staff and contract labor.

The Service Manager serves as Maître d’ during lunch and dinner service, leads the service team, and ensures seamless coordination between service, culinary, and beverage operations for both daily dining and private events.

Club is open 5 days per week, 12 months per year.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all front-of-house service operations
  • Hire, train, and develop service staff to exceptional hospitality standards
  • Maintain daily engagement with members to ensure satisfaction
  • Supervise execution of private events
  • Establish and maintain high service standards
  • Manage labor and scheduling
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with culinary and beverage teams to ensure seamless service
  • Act as closing manager two and occasionally three evenings per week
  • By example, build a culture of hospitality, friendless and goodwill within the service and culinary staff

Educational Requirements

Prerequisites:

Background:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an upscale dining, catering, private club, or luxury hotel

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
