Belle Haven Country Club is located just south of Old Town Alexandria in Fairfax County, VA, and just across the river from Washington, DC. The Club's 150 acres are bordered to the east by the George Washington Parkway and the Potomac River. The location offers easy access to the nation’s capital,Maryland and Virginia either by road or by rail. The quaintness of Old Town coupled with the proximity to DC provides a variety and abundance of culture, entertainment, shopping, and dining.
Belle Haven Country Club and the surrounding Belle Haven residential community began together in the early 1920's when David Janney Howell, a civil engineer from Alexandria, purchased the land and set up two corporations, one to construct a golf course and club, and the other to develop a residential subdivision. What began as a modest 9-hole golf course and clubhouse along the Potomac River in 1924 has grown into a private, full service country club boasting an 18-hole golf course designed by world-renowned architect, Arthur Hills.

Job Description
Exciting Opportunity to join Belle Haven Country Club. We seek a knowledgeable and seasoned Food and Beverage Director who will lead, direct and enhance our food and beverage team and outlets.
Administration
· Maintain standards of food, beverage, and promote quality member service.
· Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses to maximize profitability related to the food and beverage department.
· Contribute, measure and add to member satisfaction.
· Develop short- and long-term financial and operational plans for the food and beverage department that relate to the overall objectives of the Club.
· Participate in the preparation of the annual Club budget.
· Increase level of member satisfaction by delivering exceptional products and employee development/engagement.
· Manage in compliance with Federal, state, local, and club regulations and standards.
· Maintain and correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, security of financial assets, and inventory control.
· Respond and resolve member requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
· Ability to accurately use various office and accounting software. JONAS/Paylocity/MS Outlook/MS programs, Excel
-Handel Safe Serve, TIPS training and other training modules quarterly and annually.

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with members, associates, and vendors.

Ability to assist with the design and preparation of statistical reports and presentations as needed.

Ability to accurately report information.

Ability to assist with various banquets, events and accounting departments tasks as needed.

Ability to scrupulously follow all Belle Haven Country Club policies, club bylaws and procedures.

High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.

Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.

CPR/AED training required; first aid training preferred.

Additional language ability preferred
Candidate Qualifications
Prior knowledge of Club industry
TIPS/ Safeserve Supervisory Training
5 plus years prior expierance as F&B Director
