GPYC Paddle and Racquet Sports programs offer something for everyone. State-of-the-art facilities include four clay tennis courts, four premier pickleball courts, and two heated platform tennis courts.

Swimming Facilities

Olympic-sized swimming pool that overlooks the Harbor and Lake St. Clair. Home to the Sailfish swim team, the pool is also the perfect place to relax with friends and family and catch some rays. Our popular Gazebo Bar is the place to be in the summer, and it positioned right in the southeast corner of the pool. Near our playscape at the back of the property is our splashpad for the little ones. Kids will love frolicking through a canopy of sprinklers, nozzles and umbrellas as they enjoy the summer weather. It's the best way for kids to cool off this summer and provides tons of fun for all ages.

Other Athletic Facilities

Bowling Our Bowling Recreation Center offers all of the amenities of a public bowling alley, consisting of six regulation lanes and a full-service menu and bar, while upholding all of the comforts of a private club. In addition, members have exclusive access to the Bowling Center and our PBA Bowling Pro to assist you and your group. Fitness The GPYC Fitness Center has everything you need! Our premier facility features a wide range of cardio and strength training equipment, perfect for members of all fitness levels. Open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., we make it easy to stay active on your schedule. Trap Shooting During the winter months, our Marine Activity Center transforms into a warming house for trap shooters. Members come out on Saturdays and Sundays starting in November to shoot targets over Lake St. Clair. It's a great way to get out of the house during the winter months and bond with fellow members.

Job Description

The Membership Director is a dynamic, hands-on leader responsible for all aspects of the member experience at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. This role plays a vital part in fostering a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment for current and prospective members while providing strategic oversight to key departments and ensuring excellence in operations, communications, and service.

Candidate Qualifications

Business, hospitality, marketing, or related degree or equivalent in appropriate certification.  A minimum of five or more years experience in a similar position.  Ability to communicate in a highly professional fashion with the community and with prospective members.  Ability to work in necessary computer programs as needed to facilitate the Membership Marketing Directorship.

Insurance:
Medical, Health and Dental: You will be entitled to participate in the group health insurance program typically provided to employer of GPYC. Please note that as a part of the GPYC Executive Leadership Team, you are entitled to these benefits at no monthly deduction/cost.

401K Plan:
Participation in the Employer's 401K plan after applicable waiting period of one year and at least 1000 hours worked. The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club provides a matching contribution, which you will be entitled to should you participate.

Vacation:
You will be entitled to three (3) weeks (15 days) vacation time annually with approval of the General Manager for the specific time away from the Club.

Clothing Allowance:
The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club is proud to uphold high standards of appearance, therefore you will be provided quarterly clothing allowance to assist with this.

Meals:
You will be provided appropriate meals at the Club during the course of your working day.

Other personal benefits are intended to be included in the base compensation that is being provided to you. Supplemental ‘perks’, if any are provided, will be considered in the future annual performance review process.
