Job Description

Kenwood Country Club, a premier family country club in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeks to grow our operational team with passionate and career-oriented college students pursuing a degree related to Hospitality.  During the internship, students will gain professional experience in a large and highly recognized food and beverage operation at a club that is consistently recognized by Boardroom Magazine as a Distinguished Club – Elite Status. The internship positions are:

Event Internship: This internship will support and lead staff in executing casual, formal, youth, family, and adult private and club events ranging from 15 to 1,000 attendees. There will be opportunities to work in conjunction with our Events Department to assist event materials including BEOs, floor plans, timelines, menus, and packages. 

  • Support and lead staff in planning and executing private and club events while ensuring Member and Guest satisfaction
  • Build rapport and confirm event logistics with outside vendors
  • Maintain communication with internal team and develop ways to communicate to Membership about event opportunities
  • Coordinate and facilitate service between “front and back of the house”
  • Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings
  • Assist with event materials including BEOs, floor plans, timelines, menus, and packages
  • Collaborate with multiple talented professionals in the event industry

Candidate Qualifications

We seek applicants who can start early May and continue their internship until late August/early September.

Other Benefits

Furnished apartments (single gender) near the Club are available and are located close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment districts. Each intern will be responsible for a refundable $200 security deposit and a $150 rental fee per weekly pay period. The rental fee includes major utilities, but cable, telephone, and internet service are the responsibility of the interns.

Besides operational skillset and leadership development, we look forward to providing our interns networking opportunities and the opportunity for career advancement. The club will provide uniforms, employee meals during shifts, and educational/networking opportunities through the CMAA.
