The Daniel Island Club is located within a 4000-acre planned community in the historic and picturesque city of Charleston, South Carolina. Brief Job Description

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

We need someone who can hire quality team members and instill the Club’s brand and culture.

We’re now adding to our team a Talent Acquisition Specialist with a high-level of enthusiasm, hospitality industry knowledge and ‘a get things done’ attitude! Partnership skills, action-oriented mindset and an ability to be responsive, tactful and diplomatic in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple projects and priorities is the norm.

Do you have a keen eye for talent with proven abilities to appeal to candidates and build connections using various platforms and network contacts?

Can you analyze recruiting metrics and strategies and recommend appropriate changes to create a streamlined and efficient hiring process and reduce overall time to fill and improve the quality of hires?

Can you shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change, step up beyond your core responsibilities and go the extra mile to meet hiring initiatives?

Successful candidate will be able to:

  • Directly engage hiring managers to understand projected and real-time hiring needs
  • Provide guidance on job descriptions/ads and drive the hiring process to completion though
  • Manage and monitor HRIS systems that automate hiring correspondence and requisition processes
  • Assess candidates’ credentials and work history through telephone screens and in-person interviews
  • Ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are appropriately vetted to encourage success for the individual in our environment
  • Represent Daniel Island Club’s culture and provide an excellent experience for the candidate and hiring manager through transparent communication and timely feedback
  • Actively and passively recruit, screen, process, and onboard talented candidates
  • Assist in the development and maintain online career postings
  • Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to track and report key recruitment performance metrics
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in management, leadership, coaching or related discipline
  • 5-7 years Staffing/Recruitment experience with strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience and proficiency in Applicant Tracking systems required
  • Experience in Hospitality industry preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze recruitment needs, lead strategic sourcing efforts and work with a team to develop and deploy creative techniques
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (primarily excel) or related software.
  • Project Management experience required
  • HR Generalist experience a plus
  • High sense of urgency
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Strong analytical skills; proven problem solver
  • Enjoys being a part of a team and can lead both directly and by influence
