Special Club Features

Century Country Club is a member-owned private club located in Purchase, NY.  It will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2023.  The Club facilities include an 18 hole golf course designed by Colt & Alison with a recently completed renovation by renowned golf course architect Keith Foster.  Other club facilities include 12 Har-Tru courts, three of which are bubbled for the winter, swimming pool, pickle ball, paddle tennis, guest rooms and food and beverage consisting of fine dining, casual dining and banquets.

The Club is a Platinum Club of America, Distingquished Club of America, and listed as one of the 100 most exclusive clubs in the world.

The Club is led by a long tenured General Manager/COO who is recognized as a leader in the industry and has served as the President of the Club Managers Association of America.  He is supported by management team that is also long tenured.

Club is open 6 days per week, 8 months per year.

Dining Room Supervisor

Brief Job Description

Dining Room Supervisor – Century Country Club is seeking a qualified candidate to join our food and beverage management staff. This individual is responsible for service management and training of staff, ensuring quality service to members and guests in all areas of food and beverage.

Other duties include but not limited to:

Promotes a positive and openly communicative relationship with all kitchen personnel and other department heads and management; assists in overseeing the reservation lists, maintaining POS system, assigning tables to service staff. Some experience with Point of Sale systems is necessary.

Dining Room Supervisor will welcome and seat members. Century continues a level of service where most dinner orders are taken in the living room by the Assistant Clubhouse Manager and Dining Room Supervisor with assistance from the Clubhouse Manager. This individual will assist in direction of pre-meal lineups with staff and assume opening and/or closing management duties when needed. He/she will help maintain that all areas of dining operation are clean and orderly and that health department guidelines are met.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player and able to assist in various aspects of our operations. Candidate must have a strong attention to detail. It is important that they bring a high level of enthusiasm and commitment to excellence to our program.

Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Assistant Clubhouse Manager.

The Club is open for food and beverage from Mid-March to Thanksgiving week. During the off season the Dining Room Supervisor will assist in other club activities including golf simulator, paddle tennis, indoor tennis, club maintenance and vacation relief for other staff members. This position is year round.

Candidate Qualifications

Prefer college graduate.  Two years experience is a suprervisory capacity.
