Charlotte Country Club (CCC) was founded in 1910 and is located four miles east of uptown Charlotte, in the historic Plaza-Midwood neighborhood. Charlotte Country Club is known as a top 20 private club in the United States and is a premier family centric country club that enjoys a wonderful staff and membership.  The 18-hole Donald Ross golf course was restored by architect Ron Prichard in 2009 and has received numerous accolades.  Charlotte Country Club has hosted four USGA championships: 1972 U.S. Men's Amateur, 2000 U.S. Senior Men's Amateur, 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur, and the 2018 USGA Men's Mid-Amateur.

Brief Job Description

Our Club Management Rotational Internship provides a hands-on experience, through multiple departments to provide a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the private club industry. Our program is customized to meet the needs and interests of the individual to best prepare them for a career in clubs.

Interns should expect to experience all aspects of club operations, front line roles through team leadership and operations as indicated through their personal goals. Programming includes:

  • Department rotations in food and beverage, culinary, golf, tennis, agronomy, communications, and more
  • Weekly Meetings
  • CMAA Educations
  • Area Club Tours & Networking
  • Leadership Development and Education
  • Access to Leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

The Club Management Internship opportunity is a seasonal, non-exempt position. This internship starts mid-May and is expected to continue through early August. Option for continued employment after the internship ends can be discussed with the Internship Coordinator based on business needs, performance, and open position requirements.Our Clubhouse Team generally works five days a week, Monday through Sunday, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for operations. The weekly work schedule is subject to change based on club events and operation needs. Availability on evenings, holidays, and weekends is expected of all staff. Must be available 32-40 hours a week.
