Job Description
Summer/Fall- 2023 - Internship to assist with the sales and management of all administrative and operational aspects of private events, both member and Club sponsored, within the 80,000 square foot Park Avenue clubhouse.
The proper candidate should be very detail oriented, organized, have a polished demeanor and be visible to the membership. This individual will work directly with the Director of Private Events for training and will assist in various event related tasks including, but not limited to, responding to inquiries and solicitation efforts, issuing contracts and managing event worksheets (BEO's), floorplans and timelines while also overseeing day of aspects of the events. This internship will provide a well-rounded experience with exposure to various departments and an experienced management team in the NY luxury hospitality arena.
Candidate Qualifications
1-2 Years of catering experience within a luxury club or hotel environment. Familiarity and comfort learning a new database (Filemaker), computer literacy a must: Microsoft Office (Wor, Excel and Powerpoint)
Educational Requirements
College graduate or student with at least 2-3 of industry related experience.
