Brief Job Description

The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse services, food & beverage operations, and recreation facility staff, while interacting with members and guests to assure all expectations and club standards are consistently exceeded.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and staff, and develop and implement policies and procedures for clubhouse, recreational facility, and food and beverage departments
  • Plan, implement, and manage a staff recruiting, training and retention program
  • Plan and implement strategies to assist in the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of club memberships
  • Responsible for enhancing services to increase the overall member experience
  • Greet members and guests and oversee service on a routine basis
  • Develop internal marketing promotions, menu items, pricing, and menu design for all food & beverage outlets, special events and banquets
  • Develop and monitor revenue and expense operating budgets
  • Address members and guests’ complaints and concerns and take appropriate corrective actions
  • Monitors appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all clubhouse and food & beverage facilities
  • Serves as manager-on-duty on a scheduled basis
  • Attends related conferences, workshops, and meetings in club management
  • Food safety and alcoholic beverage certification

Educational Requirements

  • Four-year college or university degree in Hospitality/Club Management or related experience
  • Experience with food & beverage operating procedures, menu design, bar operations, cost controls, and building, training, and maintaining employee teams
  • Experience with membership marketing, recruitment, and retention
  • Knowledge of POS systems, Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and internet applications
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a polished, professional appearance
