Special Club Features

Assist and maintain the daily supervision and operation of the Aquatics Facility. Supervise and assist with directing pool attendants and lifeguard staff, locker room attendants with regards to their daily responsibilities. Oversee swim lesson programming and in-service training and certifications. Assist and maintain the daily needs of pump rooms, chemical testing, pool maintenance, inventory, and assist with training future employees.
Review all club policies and procedures and become thoroughly familiar with all member and guest guidelines including membership and guest card disbursement.

 Assist the Aquatics Supervisor with all aspects of facility operations, including pump rooms, cleaning and maintenance, and member/guest relations.
 Attain Certified Pool Operators License and Water Safety Instructors Certification and the American Red Cross Lifeguarding & First Aid Instructors Certification.
 Review current swim lesson procedures, including chits, reservation book, and confirmation calls. Make any suggestions for improvement to Aquatics Supervisor.
 Direct the lifeguard staff to ensure the safety and well being of members and their guests.
 Direct the attendants to ensure the cleanliness of the pool and facility.
 Assist the Aquatics Supervisor the supervision of lifeguard and pool attendants when the Aquatics Supervisor is not working.
 Carries out the duties, direction, and assignment as requested by the Aquatics Supervisor.
 Enforce all the policies set forth by Boca West and the Aquatics Department.
 Discuss with the Aquatics Supervisor current scheduling procedures and design specific training programs for all lifeguards including, but not limited to emergency procedures, guard rotations, rescue procedures, and in-service training.
 Review all Operation Manuals, including pool procedure manual and any pertinent equipment
manuals.
 Maintain an up to date filing system for all Red Cross certifications and keep track of all in-service
hours and all huddle notes.
 Maintain the inventory of all first aid stations in Fitness Department weekly to ensure first aid supplies
are well stocked.
 Review daily work responsibility sheets for lifeguards, pool attendants and locker room attendants in
communication log.
 Meet with Sports Center Coordinator and Aquatics Supervisor daily to discuss operational issues and
concerns.
 Suggest improvements for overall safety and function of Aquatics Department.
 Must assure that all staff present themselves in a professional, well-groomed manner and must
constantly maintain a positive rapport with members.
 Assume any other responsibilities as directed by the Aquatics Supervisor.
