The award-winning community, is home to more than 6,500 residents (3,400 families). Boca West Country Club facilities is owned by the membership, directed by a Board of Governors of 15 members who are elected by the general membership and operated through its general manager.

Brief Job Description

General Statement of duties:

  • To assist in the direction all Spa operation facilities, programs and staff members.

Supervision received:

  • Director of Fitness, Aquatic and Spa Operations.

Supervision exercised:

  • Supervises and directs all Spa personnel including Spa Treatment
  • Supervisor, Spa Providers, Spa Receptionists and Spa Programmers.

Major duties and their definitions (in order if importance):

  • Assisting in the daily operation of all Spa facilities.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of department’s operating budget.
  • Coordinating all department schedules with department managers.
  • Reviewing and continuously evaluating all department policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Assisting with all screening and hiring of all department personnel.
  • Monitoring all department inventory and control systems.
  • Coordinating all review and purchasing of skin care and massage products.
  • Overseeing the marketing and purchasing of all retail products.
  • Coordinating payroll for entire departing.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of all revenue generating and expense management guidelines.
  • Coordinating all preventative maintenance, repair and cleaning schedules in conjunction with the Engineering department.
  • Assisting all other club departments in all areas in regards to program mining and special events.
  • Supervising all point of sale and software scheduling procedures.
  • Oversee training for all Spa Receptionists and Spa Programmers.

Candidate Qualifications

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • The candidate must have very strong management and people skills with the ability to develop and implement operational systems including staffing plan development, fiscal management and program design and development. 

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management preferably or related field of study, but not mandatory.

Experience: 

  • Must have at least three years experienence in management of Spa facilities.
