The Sharon Golf Club was established in 1963 - We are a small "no frills" private golf club with a newly remodeled championship course set to open June 1st of 2023, a practace facility, locker room facility and first class food & beverage operation.

Brief Job Description

The position, while primarily working with the Food and Beverage team, will offer experience and interaction with all aspects of the Club. The Intern will work with Club team leaders to plan and execute operations with a member-first sense of service. Working with a hands-on approach will offer interns insight into preparing for the challenges of Club Management.

Responsibilities include:

Work with the food and beverage team in all capacities, promoting offerings and exceeding member expectations.
Be visible and display a hands-on approach.
Communicate with management on issues with food and/or service.
Assist in keeping all dining and service areas clean and organized throughout service.
Assist with inventories, orders, and schedules.
Follow all policies, procedures, standards, and laws regarding service of food & alcohol to members and their guests.
Offer suggestions and help to improve standards of operation.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or other department heads.

Candidate Qualifications

Good attitude, willingness to learn and participate.
Possess a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Ability to handle physical demands of position i.e.; standing for long periods, lifting
Understand food & beverage health safety guidelines and alcohol service protocols.
Work a schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desire to further a career in hospitality management.
