Job Description
Farmington Country Club’s internship programs offer exceptionally rewarding opportunities for hospitality management and culinary arts students interested in pursuing careers in club management.
INTERNSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
- Interns learn all aspects of day-to-day operations of the various departments within a private club as well as the methods and procedures by which the departments and divisions are managed. Interns also gain an overview of the private club organization and develop insight into how departments relate to each other. Throughout the training experience, interns closely train with managers to learn effective industry practices. Additionally, interns have the opportunity to participate in staff meetings and training programs, and to attend trade shows and conferences.
TRAINING PROGRAM EVALUATION
- At the conclusion of the training program, interns, together with the supervising manager, review and evaluate the internship experience and its applicability to the interns’ future career goals. Interns participate in the Club performance review process, which includes meeting with the supervising manager to discuss performance during the training period and to identify areas to focus on for continued professional development.
Previous experience in club, resort, hotel, or similar environment preferred but not required!

HOUSING
- The Club provides fully-furnished apartments to interns on a space-available basis, which they share with other interns. The apartments are located approximately two miles from the Club. A weekly payroll deduction covers each intern’s use of the apartment.
