Special Club Features

Small dining club in central Ohio. Rocky Fork's clubhouse is modeled after an English county cottage.  The club is set on 175 acres of forest. The clubhouse is 1/4 mile from the road and the members are some of the wealthiest people in the country and state. The membership and management place a high emphasis on service, quality,  and tradition. 

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Director of Food and Beverage

Brief Job Description

Clubhouse Operations: 

  1. Works with the AGM, executive chef, and other department heads, and any special committees to maintain and coordinate club events and daily requirements regarding the clubhouse and food and beverage operations.
  2. Works closely with private events, scheduling, and execution.
  3. Establishes and maintains guidelines for service standards.
  4. Develop and implement training programs for all areas and service positions.
  5. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and. in all areas including all equipment and storage areas.
  6. Be an example for employee professional appearance.
  7. Maintains event calendar.
  8. Monitors and reports on any maintenance need in the clubhouse and food and beverage areas. Follows through on the completion of repairs in a timely manner. 
  9. Orders beer, wine, and liquor as needed for the bars and for private events.
  10. Develop and maintain social media marketing. Update and create weekly e-blasts and Instagram posts. Strong focus on marketing and promotion of club events.
  11. Maintains a high level of quality products, services, and integrity to achieve maximum member satisfaction.

Human Resource Management:

  1. Abide by all policies, standards, and regulations set forth in the Rocky Fork Employee Handbook.
  2. Sourcing and hiring of all staff under the direction of the Assistant General Manager in the service department, supervision, performance appraisals, recommendations for promotions, progressive discipline adherence, and action plan implementation.
  3. Maintain a high level of team morale by creating a harmonious and respectful environment.   
  4. Determine staffing requirements, number of hours needed, scheduling, shift assignments, and personal time off assuring proper coverage of all departmental responsibilities.
  5. Develop a recognition/award system to acknowledge superior job performance.
  6. Maintain a high level of communication with the entire team by creating an “open door” policy that will reinforce the integrity and professionalism of the club.

General:

  1. Assists with a budget for assigned areas monitor actual financial results and assures financial objectives of clubhouse operations are met.
  2. Assures compliance with all local, State, Federal, and OSHA laws and regulations including health and environmental standards. 
  3. Efficiently and effectively manages member complaints.
  4. Be available and willing to interact with members during meal periods. 
  5. Accepts responsibility to follow club policies, and procedures and adhere to the content of the Employee Handbook.
  6. Maintain personal and professional discipline always. Represent Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club with high moral standards and respect. 
  7. Ability to mentor and develop staff to meet the high levels of quality and expectations of the membership.

Candidate Qualifications

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and recipes. Must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to speak and communicate effectively before groups of members or employees of the club.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.  

Computer Skills/IT

Must be proficient in the operations of a computer, laptop, and tablet. Must have the ability to create documents in Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Must have the understanding and common use of electronic mail.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Educational Requirements

Education and/or Experience

      Preferred but not limited to:

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and or,
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year accredited college or university and or, 
  • Five to ten years related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

$55,000.00 to $69,999.00
