Brief Job Description
Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, TX is looking for a Director of Events and Member Services. This position is an integral part of the management team and is responsible for private and club events. Included in the responsibilities is maintaining a club wide calendar, capturing events from each area of the club: social, board, committee, regatta, youth sailing, maintenance, Ladies Association, etc. Meet with potential private event clients, plan and ensure that events are properly executed. Conduct weekly function sheet meetings to disseminate information to the food and beverage managers. The position oversees the front desk and game room employees and reports directly to the Assistant General Manager.

-Must display an energetic and vivacious personality.
-Must be prompt and self-motivated
-Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail; ability to multi-task.
-Must have leadership abilities.
-Refined intrapersonal communication skills.
-Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
-Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 50 lbs.
-Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word, Excel, and Publisher.
-Professional appearance appropriate for a premier yacht club.
-Must exhibit an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of their way to accommodate the Members and exceed their expectations.
-Must be considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employees.
-Must be able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times.
-Possess the highest work ethics, personal morals and honesty beyond reproach.
-Private club experience preferred.
