General Purpose: Assists General Manager in overseeing all aspects of club operations, including activities and relationships between members, guests, and associates. Clubhouse Manager (CM) will have responsibility to influence, elevate and direct F&B programming, pool operations and clubhouse event creation. CM will also assist General Manager with marketing efforts and member communications to where member satisfaction and pride in belonging are the evident outcomes. Of equal importance is the focus on administrative accuracy and consistency in policy and protocol.
Essential Duties:
- Prepares and monitors quarterly revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) business reports and forecasts desired by management or ownership.
- Monitors financial reports/statements and recommends effective corrective action in cases of any negative budget variance.
- Manages marketing efforts and member communications, coordinating with GM, Regional Marketing Manager, and department heads in sharing the club’s story to members and prospective members.
- Works with Regional Marketing Manager and GM to manage the content, accuracy and effectiveness of website, email, and social media efforts of the club.
- Participates in the creation of member social events and activities that drive satisfaction and enhanced revenue opportunities through Food and Beverage.
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work at all levels, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Oversees implementation of policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards, policies, and human resource procedures.
- Oversees the care and maintenance of all club physical assets. May coordinate maintenance efforts of Dept. Managers.
- Audits all inventories to assess control reliability. Identifies opportunities to control product costs and other expenses.
Educational Requirements
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position has some flexibility in its structure. Role and responsibilities may vary based on candidate skill set and background.
