Our Mission: To promote and provide support for the sport of sailing, power boating, water safety, and related activities; as well as provide facilities for its members to share common interests in a social atmosphere of mutual camaraderie, both on and off the water.
Formed in 1933 by business and professional leaders in Panama City, the St. Andrew’s Bay Yacht Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious yacht clubs on the northern Gulf Coast. We are a private Club, membership in which is by invitation and approval of the Board of Governors. Our approximately 400 member/owners are served by a general manager and a staff of 40.
The Club is a member of both the Gulf Yachting Association, an association of 33 clubs from St. Petersburg to Louisiana, and the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, an association of 37 clubs around the state. We compete in several regattas throughout the year and have an active youth sailing instruction program in the summer. We have two docks, one with power pedestals for overnight docking, and a private boat ramp.
In addition to sailing and waterfront activities, the Club offers a welcoming, family atmosphere to its members, who utilize its restaurant, lounge, and pool six days a week. The Club is host to community and social events throughout the year and is available for weddings and private parties
