Brief Job Description
The Front of House (FOH) Manager at Pour House is responsible for overseeing and leading the FOH team to maintain the highest standard of service and member satisfaction. This role involves developing efficient procedures and processes to ensure prompt, accurate, and engaging service, encompassing both the dining room and takeout/delivery services. Emphasizing a member-first ethic and fostering a culture of hospitality are key aspects, all while managing resources in a fiscally responsible manner within budgetary constraints.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role as a Front of House (FOH) Manager possesses a strong ability to set a tone for exceptional service. Key qualifications include the responsibility for hiring, onboarding, and training FOH staff, ensuring their adherence to proper uniform standards. The candidate consistently supervises and evaluates dining room staff, providing corrective training and feedback to maintain service standards. Proficient in designing weekly schedules for various departments using tools like 7Shifts, the candidate is skilled in planning dining room setups based on anticipated guest counts and member requests. With expertise in handling reservations through programs such as OpenTable, the candidate efficiently greets and seats members and guests as needed. Oversight of time, attendance, and payroll approval for designated departments, addressing complaints, and acting as a liaison between FOH and kitchen staff are integral aspects of the role. The candidate conducts pre-shift meetings, ensuring the correct appearance, cleanliness, and safety of dining room areas. Budget monitoring, staff training on POS systems, inventory management, and ordering responsibilities are additional strengths. The candidate collaborates with the Executive Chef on menu changes, specials, and beverage promotions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies. As a seasoned professional, the FOH Manager may also handle entertainment bookings, attend meetings, and perform various assignments as directed by senior management.
Educational Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is a mandatory requirement for this position. While not mandatory, a preferred qualification includes a four-year college degree in Hospitality. Additionally, candidates with at least three years of supervisory experience in a dining room setting, particularly within a private club or a similar environment, are highly encouraged to apply.
