Management Intern
II. Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the pool snack bar. Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of the pool snack bar. Supervise and train snack bar staff. As well as rotations through each department of the Club; Golf, Green Department, Dining, Kitchen.
III. Job Tasks
1. Ensures that Club rules and standards are met by Members and their guests, as well as staff
2. Ensures that state and local laws as well as the Club’s policies for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently met.
3. Manages the level of scheduled staff per shift based on daily volume to assist in meeting budget goals
4. In conjunction with the Dining Room Manager and Assistant General Manager; hires, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates snack bar staff
5. Directs pre-shift meetings with snack bar personnel.
a. Reviewing and explaining menu items
b. Reviewing service standards
c. Reviewing changes (if any) in Club policy
6. Supervises snack bar staff helping to ensure proper service; when needed will assist with
a. Taking food and drink orders
b. Bar service
7. Serves as liaison between Members, club management, and kitchen staff.
a. Receiving and resolving complaints concerning food, beverage and service
8. Will implement and supervise opening and closing side-work routines
a. To include the cleaning of
i. Work areas
ii. Equipment
iii. Storage Areas
b. Confirms all closing procedures have been completed before staff is dismissed
9. Ensures the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of snack bar areas, equipment and fixtures;
a. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the snack bar and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
10. Makes suggestions about improvements in snack bar service, menu selections, drink specials.
11. Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the Dining Room Manager and Asst. General Manager.

$800 gross weekly salary

While a background in hospitality or an affiliation with a CMAA Student Chapter is preferred it is not a requirement.
