Golf Facilities

Two incomparable golf courses elevate Hualālai to the status of one of the elite golf resorts in world. The Hualālai Golf Course is the first Jack Nicklaus design on Hawai‘i Island and is home to the prestigious PGA Tour Champions “Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualālai” event. This Hualālai course, is available for play to Hualālai Club Members, their registered guests, registered rental guests and the guests of the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai. The Ke’olu Golf Course set in the dramatic lava fields of Ka‘ūpūlehu, the Tom Weiskopf design Ke‘olu Course is private Members’.

Located on the Big Island's renowned "Gold Coast," so named for the exquisite luxury resorts and multi-million dollar homes scattered along its 40 miles of pristine oceanfront, Hualālai Club is a non-equity residential club with 360 active memberships, located within the Four Season Resort.

The Hualālai Club offers incredible member experiences at its exclusive Ke’olu Clubhouse and features a Tom Weiskopf designed private golf course, Ke’olu restaurant and Bar, as well as a pool and fitness facility. The other exclusive restaurant and pool are located at the Canoe Club, with proximity to the resort’s ocean sports location. All other amenities (hotel restaurants, Jack Nicklaus designed Hualālai Golf Course, water sports, tennis, spa, and fitness) are Semi-Private and shared with Registered Hotel Guests and Registered Residential Guests.

Club Membership is available exclusively to Residents of the Hualālai Resort and provides many privileges for Residents and their ‘ohana (family), creating a coveted way of life unique to Hualālai. The membership includes the use of all Club and Resort facilities: two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Hualālai Tennis Club, the Hualālai Sports Club & Hualālai Spa, the Hualālai Canoe Club, the Residents’ Beach House, the Ke‘olu Clubhouse (members only), and the beach and swimming facilities at the Four Seasons Hualālai Resort.

There is also an aloha (joyful sharing of life) in the attentive service from the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai, the restaurants serenaded by the sea, and the award-winning spa treatments and workout programs of the Hualālai Sports Club and Hualālai Spa, services of which are open to all Club members as well. Additionally, there is a rich legacy of history at Ka‘ūpūlehu, the ancient name of this land on the coast; both in the Hualālai Canoe Club and Beach House, where homeowners may fulfill their passion for the sea. The Canoe Club overlooks Uluwenuweu Bay and is a casual hideaway reserved exclusively for members.

CLUB ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

What You'll Do

Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors and assistant managers in the Hotel’s All Day or Fine Dining Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
The ability to work, learn and grow in numerous Restaurant Outlets around the Property to assist as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The ability to work closely with the Restaurant Manager, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

Educational Requirements

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
Strong Customer Service skills
One to two years' previous experience in a manager or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
