Golf Facilities

  • 18 hole course, par 72, designed by Brian Silva
Originally designed by George Cobb in 1960. 7,261 maximum yardage. Slope 141. 20,000 rounds. Original PGA Tour site before the TPC opened in Sawgrass, nearby. Practice facility renovated in 2023. Golf Course slated for renovation in 2026.

Brief Job Description

Deerwood Country Club is seeking a professional Director of Food and Beverage to be responsible for managing FOH Food and Beverage operations. We strive to provide unparalleled member experience delivered by a committed team of enthusiastically motivated, fun-loving, and professional staff. The club operates in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment.  The ideal candidate will have luxury private club leadership experience within a landmark gated community. Knowledge of Forbes Five-Star Hospitality Standards is highly desirable.

Candidate Qualifications

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                              

  • With a sense of entertainment the DOFB will plan, promote, and execute events throughout the facility, grounds, and property to ensure a full calendar of member requested activities are accomplished with skill and creativity.
  • Continuously lead the Bar Manager to create innovative products and keep current with industry trends.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of all service staff.
  • Deliver upon budgeted guidelines and the highest standards for a la carte dining, pool-side snack bar, golf course beverage carts, events, and banquets.
  • Responsible for managing inventory controls, month end counts, and reporting.
  • Leads the Food and Beverage day-to-day operations and other duties as assigned by General Manager.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality preferred and/or minimum of four years [managing-managers] experience in a related luxury hospitality field.
