The AGM will be responsible for achieving service quality goals through dynamic leadership and attention to details. The AGM must be visible to the Membership and staff and provide both an exceptional experience for our Membership while fostering an outstanding work environment for the staff. Our mission is to enhance the lives of our Members and Staff. This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to advance to a General Manager’s position in the next three to five years.

Club is open 6 days per week, 11 months per year.

Assistant General Manager

Brief Job Description

Hire and manage all restaurant personnel
Oversee all restaurant and bar functions to assure an outstanding dining experience for Members and their Guests
Together with the Events Director manage all Club functions
Create new and exciting events for the members
Oversee the planning and execution of club events, ensuring smooth coordination between various departments and meeting member expectations.
Work closely with the COO to create and manage the operating and capital budget
Evaluate club systems and software and recommend changes or upgrades
Assure all departments are being managed efficiently
Be highly visible to Members and Staff to be the face of the Club
Assist the COO with construction projects
Ensure compliance with safety, health and liquor law regulations
Develop strategies that will enhance the lives of Members and Staff
Manage purchasing and inventory of beverages and wine list
All other duties as assigned by the COO

Candidate Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of upwardly mobile management in a country club or luxury service industry
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience hiring and training service staff
Knowledge of club management software
