Food & Beverage Director
Job Description
The successful candidate will be hands-on and responsible for the entire front of the house food and beverage operation including staff recruitment and training, management of multiple lunch and dinner outlets, beverage management, special event and catering management, purchasing and inventory and budgeting, with a special emphasis on quality of service. The position has direct responsibility for all front of the house supervisors and service staff.
Candidate Qualifications
The candidate should possess good interpersonal skills, be team-oriented and have an understanding of country club operations. The Food & Beverage Director must be visible, energetic and a motivated self-starter with strong leadership skills. Excellent communication, financial management, organization, point of sale and time management skills are important to the success of this position as is the ability to deal with people, both the membership and staff. Riomar currently uses the Clubessential point of sale system. Prior experience with Clubessential is a plus, but not required.
Educational Requirements
A degree in hospitality or a related field is desirable but not necessary. A minimum of three years management or supervisory experience in private country club is required.
