Indian Hill Club, is a private country club founded in 1914, located in Chicago’s North Shore area. A true neighborhood club with a traditional family atmosphere, Indian Hill Club features active sports and various dining venues. An 18-Hole golf course, formal and casual dining outlets, banquets, swimming, tennis, pickleball and paddle are some of the amenities provided by Indian Hill Club. $20 million dollar Clubhosue renovation completed August 2025.
Brief Job Description
Indian Hill’s Internship Program is a learning-based program providing students the experiences and knowledge to execute quality service while exceeding member expectations. Indian Hill Club is focused on students who desire to make club management their career.
Food & Beverage – Level II Supervisory Internship:
Level II Supervisory Internships will allow the candidate to supervise various food and beverage outlets and learn from Senior Managers at the Club. The intern will spend majority of their time, but is not limited to, overseeing our casual member dining at the Summer House. This full functioning poolside restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner service and is also the venue for various private member events and Club Events. In addition, interns will rotate weekly into our Clubhouse Dining outlets, as well as assist with the execution of Club Events, Golf Events and Private Member events including Weddings. Interns will also gain exposure to administrative items including beverage ordering, schedule, and weekly meetings.
Candidate Qualifications
Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Private Club Management, or related fields. Candidates should possess a positive attitude, a polished appearance and exceptional communication skills. Must maintain a high sense of urgency in the service of our members, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail. Interns want to demonstrate a willingness to learn with the ability to take and follow through with direction. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and have a true passion for hospitality and the private club industry.

Internship positions will be compensated based on the internship level. A competitive hourly wage paid with overtime as applicable. Indian Hill Club will provide housing, meals during scheduled shift, along with the uniforms required by the various dining outlets at the Club. Monday golf privileges are available most weeks, as well as involvement in sponsored CMAA local chapter events and club tours.
