Rated a "Platinum Club of America", Maidstone is surrounded by golf courses along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses, designed by Willie Park Jr., are consistently rated among the Top-100 courses in the country. Our tennis facilities include 19 grass courts, two har-tru courts, and two all-weather courts. Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Intern to join our dynamic events team at Maidstone Club. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and coordination within a prestigious private country club setting. As an Event Intern, you will assist the Event Coordinator in the planning and execution of a variety of events, including weddings, golf outings, private parties, and more.
• Assist the Event Coordinator with the planning and execution of events, ensuring smooth operations before, during, and after each event.
• Support event setup and breakdown, including arranging décor, coordinating with vendors, and preparing event spaces.
• Communicate with clients to ensure their event needs and expectations are met.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including creating and updating banquet event orders and weekly function sheets.
• Help manage event timelines, assisting in maintaining schedules for all parties involved.
• Assist with coordinating food and beverage details, including menu selections, special requests, and dietary accommodations.
• Manage event logistics, including AV equipment and décor setup.
• Provide excellent customer service to club members, guests, and vendors.
• Contribute ideas to the team regarding new event concepts and improvements to event services.
• Other responsibilities to include those required by management.
Candidate Qualifications
• Strong interest in event planning, hospitality, and customer service.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer service is a plus, but not required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Educational Requirements
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Hospitality, Event Planning, Communications, or a related field.
