Woodhaven Country Club of Louisville, KY is known as “The Friendliest Club in Town” with a welcoming, family-focused atmosphere, outstanding club amenities and tremendous “year-round” member social calendar. 

This is an extremely rare opportunity to become an integral member of our management team.  Woodhaven is family owned, “for profit” business, in a private country club setting with a proud 65+year tradition.  We are not your “typical” country club.  We have no board of directors, we have no member committees and we have no member assessments.  Therefore, there is no choice but for us to be financially successful at delivering the ultimate club experience for our membership.   

Woodhaven has built a strong reputation for excellence in both service and experience, creating unique high energy member events and a relentless commitment to delivering the “wow” factor for our membership on a daily, monthly and yearly basis.  The value and appeal of Woodhaven Country Club has helped us build an extensive multi-year “new member” waiting list.  

Current amenities include:  Par 3- Executive Golf Course, Championship 18 Hole Golf Course, Natural Grass 18-Hole Putting Course, Golf Driving Range, Practice Putting and Chipping Greens, Indoor Golf Simulators, Junior Olympic Pool with towering water slides, one of the largest Family Pools in Kentucky, Indoor/Outdoor Cabana Bar, Members Lounge & Dining Room, Waterfall Patio and Grand Ballroom.  Woodhaven offers year round social experiences and events for members and their invited guests.   

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Job Description

We aren’t looking for just any Food & Beverage “manager"; we are looking for a HOSPITALITY ROCK STAR. 

You will be the creative pulse of our food & beverage operation, responsible for building a legendary guest culture and a high-performance team that thrives on excellence, not just compliance.

Responsible for a team of 20-25 individuals and overseeing all food and beverage operations including: member bar, poolside dining, member dining and member events.

Candidate Qualifications

The Experience: 

5–10 years of management leadership in high-volume, luxury, or disruptive hospitality environments.

The Mindset: A "steward of culinary reputation" who understands that details—like the temperature of the beer or the daily ambiance of the space—are non-negotia

  • The Skills:
    • Create a high-performing team through effective training, empowerment, and performance management.
    • Motivate and elevate the service team around you.
    • Expertise, creativity and passion for food & beverage menu development.
    • Excellent communicator and collaborator with culinary management team members.
    • Proactive problem solving, calmly handling the unexpected. 
    • A deep network of vendors and industry contacts.
    • Proficient use of club POS systems (Toast) and inventory software (MarginEdge).
  • The Un-teachable: Boundless energy, genuine care for the member experience, and a "thick skin" for the fast-paced, hospitality landscape.

Core Responsibilities

  • Experience Engineering: Move beyond "guest satisfaction" to "guest obsession." You will design sensory journeys that turn members and their guests into lifelong fans.
  • High-Octane Leadership: Build and mentor a highly efficient and knowledgeable team. You prioritize personality and "good vibes" over just a resume, fostering a culture of development where staff feel supported and inspired.
  • Menu Innovation: Collaborate with culinary leads to break industry norms. You don't just follow trends; you anticipate them, ensuring our F&B program is a "clean slate for creativity".
  • Financial Mastery: Own the P&L like a business owner. You optimize profit margins through aggressive cost control and waste reduction without ever compromising the "soul" of the plate.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations for multiple outlets—from the high-energy, pool side Cabana Bar to cozy Waterfall Patio and welcoming Member’s Lounge—ensuring every touchpoint is executed with precision.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s or associate degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or business administration is preferred.
