The Shore Club opened in 1916, originally as The Wildwood Country Club. Designed by Wayne Stiles on a pristine property overlooking Jenkins Sound Bay, the course is known for its natural woodlands, marsh, water views, tight fairways, and challenging greens.
Purchased by a small group of members who restored and rebranded as The Shore Club in 2017, it is the premiere private golf club in one of the most popular summer resort areas in the country. The club’s history includes being Arnold Palmer’s primary club when he was in the Coast Guard and was the site of many early national tournaments.

Job Title
Director of Food & Beverage and Sales
Job Description
The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for fulfilling The Shore Club’s vision through exemplary dining experiences. The Director must have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to oversee clubhouse dining, weddings, banquets, tournaments, and special events. As a member of The Shore Club Management Team, the Food & Beverage Director will oversee the food and beverage operations while working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef.
The Food & Beverage Director is an integral member of the Team and plays a crucial role in enhancing the Shore Club’s overall experience and contributing to its reputation as a premier destination for its Members and Guests.
Candidate Qualifications
Food & Beverage Operations
● Oversee daily food and beverage operations including clubhouse dining, weddings, the halfway house, banquets, and member events
● Deliver a high-quality, personalized experience for members and guests
● Maintain service standards aligned with the club’s traditions and expectations
● Handle member feedback professionally and resolve concerns promptly
● Promote a service-driven, hospitality-focused team culture
● Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise F&B manager and service staff
● Develope, promote policies and procedures
● Ensure appropriate staffing levels for all operations, tournaments, weddings, and special events
Financial & Cost Control
● Implement controls to reduce waste and improve profitability
● Monitor food, beverage, labor, and operating costs
● Monitor budgets
Menu & Beverage Program
● Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and pricing
● Oversee beverage programs including bar operations, wine lists, and inventory
● Ensure consistency, quality, and seasonality in menus
● Manage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships
Tournaments & Special Events
● Plan and execute food and beverage services for golf tournaments, member events, weddings, and private functions
● Coordinate with Head Golf Professional on member golf events and outside golf tournaments
● Ensure seamless execution during high-volume event days
● Coordinate and manage club events and outside event sales
TSC Standards & Compliance
● Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations
● Maintain proper licenses and certifications
● Uphold club policies, procedures, brand standards, and service etiquette
Knowledge, Skills and Traits
● Fundamental knowledge of food and beverage and sales
● Team oriented with a can do attitude
● Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating behavior and work ethic
● Strong leadership, organizational, planning and prioritization skills
