Job Title

Food & Beverage Intern

Job Description

Canoe Brook Country Club is offering a Food & Beverage Front of House Internship designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and aspire to build a long-term career in dining room and front-of-house management.

This is not a typical service internship. Interns will be immersed in the day-to-day leadership, operations, and service culture of a premier private country club, working directly with experienced hospitality professionals and gaining hands-on exposure to what it takes to become a successful Dining Room Manager.

If you're ready to jumpstart your career and make a positive impact in a fun and dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!

What You’ll Learn & Experience:
As a Front of House Intern, you will gain real-world experience in:

  • Dining room operations in a high-volume, member-focused environment
  • Service standards, steps of service, and guest engagement at a private club level
  • Staff supervision, floor management, and pre-shift leadership
  • Reservation systems, table management, and pacing of service
  • Event and banquet service execution (member events, private functions)
  • POS systems and service documentation
  • Exposure to scheduling, labor management, and service training programs
  • Understanding the relationship between Front of House, Culinary, and Club Leadership

Interns will work alongside Dining Room Managers, Food & Beverage Leadership, and Senior Club Management, gaining mentorship and insight into the professional expectations of hospitality leaders.

Candidate Qualifications

This opportunity is ideal for someone who:

  • Is pursuing or considering a career in Hospitality Management
  • Has a strong interest in Front of House leadership and dining room operations
  • Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a service-first mindset
  • Enjoys working with people and leading by example
  • Is eager to learn the “why” behind service decisions, not just the “how”
  • The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends as scheduled

Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus but not required. A positive attitude and desire to grow are essential.
