Forsyth Country Club, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a member owned, full-service country club serving approximately 950 families. The Club recently completed $6.5 million in major facility upgrades, including a complete renovation of the main-level banquet spaces and kitchen, ladies’ locker room, and employee facilities. The Club also expanded its racquet sports complex, adding four new pickleball courts and upgrading two tennis courts.

The Club has a proven track record of providing professional development, internal and external growth opportunities, and continued education for both professional and line level members of the team. Many of the current senior and mid-management team members have earned their current positions because of the Club’s commitment to professional development.

Job Description

Forsyth Country Club is searching for a highly motivated and passionate leader that has the knowledge and influence to continue to lead the Banquet team in the tradition of excellence at Forsyth.

This role is responsible for all front of house food and beverage management within the Banquet department. Ensuring high service levels are consistently maintained, and successful operation of the Club’s $4.75M food and beverage operation which includes: an active casual grill, banquet facilities, pool pavilion, men’s grill, and our fieldhouse.

The Banquet Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for all front-of-the-house banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service, seamless events, and a positive, energized team environment.

You will be a visible presence on the floor, a trusted mentor to staff, and a key partner to the Catering and Events and Food and Beverage leadership teams. Most importantly, you will help create events that members rave about and a workplace where people love coming to work.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Hospitality or related degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of banquet, event, or food and beverage leadership experience
  • TIPS certification (or equivalent); ServSafe preferred
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • A natural people-leader who believes great culture drives great service
  • Someone who enjoys mentoring others and growing future leaders
