Unique Club/Facility Details

Frontier House is a small, private members club located in a restored 1905 Federal-style townhome on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The Club serves a highly engaged community of leaders from national security, technology, government, investment, and related fields.

Unlike a traditional country, city, or dining club, Frontier House operates as an intimate, high-touch environment where members regularly use the House for meetings, private conversations, small events, receptions, coworking, and relationship building.

The approximately 3,000-square-foot property includes meeting and entertaining spaces, a boardroom, member workspaces, a podcast studio, and outdoor patio. Because of the Club's small physical footprint and intentionally limited membership, staff know the members, understand how they use the House, and are expected to deliver highly personal service.

Frontier House is an early-stage and growing club. Employees joining the team will have an opportunity to help establish the service standards, traditions, operating systems, and member experience of a new private club in Washington, D.C.

Club is open 5 days per week, 12 months per year.

Job Title

Hybrid/ Remote Membership Lead

Job Description

The Hybrid/ Remote Membership Lead owns the revenue-producing membership process for Frontier House DC, from prospect through renewal. The mission is simple: fill the pipeline, move the pipeline, and close memberships.

The Membership Lead manages prospecting, qualification, applications, follow-up, acceptances, CRM, membership pricing discussions, invoicing and collections, onboarding, engagement, and renewals. The position also trains Club Operations staff to give effective tours, recognize qualified prospects, capture leads, and create a clear next step.

This is not a traditional front-desk membership position. Operations staff handle routine tours and the member experience inside the House. The Membership Lead works wherever the close happens: phone, email, CRM, coffee, events, or the Club.

The position begins with significant in-person exposure to Frontier House so the Membership Lead can learn the Club, members, culture, programs, and membership experience firsthand. Once fully trained and able to perform independently, the position may become primarily or fully remote for the right candidate, with in-person attendance as needed for training, member engagement, events, onboarding, and other membership activities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Results-oriented, organized, persistent, and comfortable being accountable for membership growth and conversion.

• Demonstrated sales, business development, membership, fundraising, recruiting, account management, or other relationship-driven experience.

• Comfortable initiating calls and conversations with senior executives, founders, investors, government professionals, and other accomplished individuals.

• Strong follow-up discipline and ability to move multiple prospects through different stages of a sales pipeline simultaneously.

• Comfortable asking for the next step, discussing price, following up on outstanding invoices, and closing a membership.

• Strong CRM discipline. Every prospect, interaction, next action, and outcome must be accurately maintained in HubSpot.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional judgment and ability to represent a private membership organization appropriately in person, by phone, and electronically.

• Able to build relationships with members, Ambassadors, referral sources, and prospective members.

• Able to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment while remaining accountable for measurable results.

• Willing and able to spend sufficient time at Frontier House during initial training to understand the Club, its membership, culture, facilities, programs, and member experience firsthand.

• Able to return to the Club as reasonably required for training, important prospect or member engagements, onboarding, events, and other membership activities.

• Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

• Prior private-club, membership sales, hospitality sales, business development, or high-trust relationship sales experience is preferred but not required.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred.

The college education preference may be waived for candidates with relevant professional experience, military service, demonstrated sales or business-development performance, club or hospitality experience, recognized professional credentials, or other qualifications demonstrating the judgment, communication skills, and capabilities required for the position.

• Significant autonomy in managing prospecting, pipeline activity, follow-up, and membership conversion.

• Direct professional development in private-club membership, relationship sales, CRM, member engagement, retention, and club operations.

• Regular interaction with senior leaders from business, technology, government, investment, and the national security community.
