We have a very active membership who are mostly residents of Weston and nearby surrounding towns. The members are a tight knit group of friends that love using the Club as their social hub, throughout the year!

Brief Job Description

The Event Intern is responsible for assisting in the preparation and execution of current events and upcoming events. Supervises Front of House Staff to assure member and guest satisfaction through proper food and beverage service and presentation. In charge of assigning side-work and table assignments to Front of House Staff. Responsible for answering phones, taking reservations, creating floor plans, putting out decorations, and helping with any administrative work the Director of Catering will need.

Candidate Qualifications

1. Assists in event planning, setup, preparation, execution, and break-down

2. Creates banquet event orders and room diagrams to properly relay event requirements and needs

3. Coordinates food service between kitchen and event service staff

4. Assists in conducting daily line-up with all staff to ensure smooth, efficient service, assigns server stations and coordinates timing of courses with Director of Catering

5. Inspects all event room setups, tables, chairs, and linens daily for proper appearance, neatness, and cleanliness

6. Acts as head waiter at special events and will greet and seat guests

7. Assures that event closing procedures are executed

8. Provides the best possible level of service to our membership, checks in with members regularly about their service and food satisfaction, and handles member feedback

9. Fills in for the front desk reception position as needed (answers phones, takes reservations, transfers calls, and provides members with basic information)

10. Fills in for the hostess position as needed (greets & seats members, answers phones, takes reservations, ensures member satisfaction upon departure)

11. Creates centerpieces for Club events, decorates Clubhouse for major Holidays, proposes items for Director of Catering to purchase

Educational Requirements

College student majoring in Hospitality or Business Administration, wishing to pursue a career in Event Management and Planning.
