Youche Country Club is the premiere private country club in NW Indiana focusing on family activites.  Created in 1928, YCC is known for it's challenging golf course and it's family friendly atmosphere.  Crown Point, IN is a suburb of Chicago located approximately 1 hour SE of downtown Chicago boasting a great school district and a small town charm.  The club membership is what makes Youche special, with their welcoming attitude towards new members and staff.  The current Head Golf Professional and Gounds Superintendent have both been at the club in their current positions for 7 years.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Clubhouse Manager

Brief Job Description

The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day operations of the kitchen, restaurant, bar and pool.  The Clubhouse Manager will build relationships with members and their guests, as well as their fellow managers and associates.  A hands on approach will be required to enhance engagement with the team and foster a positive and fulfilling work environment.

Candidate Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be a team player and work daily with other department heads to make the member experience the best it can be.  Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

* Manage all day-to-day food and beverage activity.
* Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and team development for F&B team.
* Ensures all club policies, including dress standards are followed by the team.
* Benchmarks service standards with timely and appropriate follow-up where needed.
* Reviews and understands key metrics for department income and expenses in a proactive fashion.
* Makes frequent and timely inspections of the dining room and banquet rooms for cleanliness, proper setup of stations, flatware, glassware, etc.
* Assists in developing the food and beverage department’s annual budget. Routinely review financial reports and take corrective actions as needed.
* Assists in creating BEO’s, planning and executing member events, club events and internal events.
* Maintains effective communication with the departmental teams, other department heads and fosters a team-centric approach to club activity.
* Responsible for POS updates and menu programming.
* Conducts a high-quality daily pre-shift meeting with both FOH & BOH teams.
* Ensure all Youche systems are in place and maintained daily.
* Ensure prompt and efficient service to all guests.
* Monitor and assess product quality, satisfaction, and trends to promote food and beverage services and to maximize overall revenue.
* Ensure all team members have current knowledge of dining offerings, products, services, facilities, pricing, and policies.
* Generate an accurate weekly forecast to schedule associates properly so to deliver the best member experience while following budgeted labor costs.
* Ensure that food handling and safety guidelines are in effect and followed.
* Ensure that all food and beverage associates “own the food and beverage experience” and are actively involved in the delivery of the service strategy. * Displays passion about customer service and makes frequent contact with members to ensure satisfaction.
* Handles or assists with any member related complaints, as well as coordinating the follow-up on those complaints.
* Ensures that all members are treated with a professional and consistent manner.
* Creates the vision for best-in-class service by training, recognizing, motivating, and rewarding team for achieving goals.
* Ensures that discipline is firm, fair, and consistent. Follows company policy on progressive discipline. Ensures that leads/supervisors within the F&B department do the same.
* Reacts promptly and effectively to associate concerns. Documents actions in a timely manner.
* Ensures associates have the supplies they need to do their assigned jobs.
* Confers regularly with staff to coordinate activities, assign, and check work, resolve problems and the like.
* Ensures associates have appropriate local food and beverage certificates and that they remain current.
* Track and audit sales, food, labor, cash, and expense items.
* Communicates in a clear and effective manner. Chooses the right form of communication for the message.
* Attends weekly staff meeting and other meetings as required.
* Conducts timely and effective department meetings that inform, recognize, and motivate.
* Remains organized.
* Always presents a professional demeanor.
* Complies with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
