Wyoming Golf Club was established in 1897, and we just celebrated our 125 year anniversary. Club has a very active membership and is located in the City of Wyoming, OH. City is about 3 square miles and has a population of 9,000. Wyoming is known for its schools which consistantly are rated very well within the State of Ohio.  Median home price $370,000.  City of Wyoming and the Club have a very small town feel, where many families have been here for generations.

General Manager

Brief Job Description

Seeking a General Manager to lead overall club opperations.  Specifically seeking a GM with experience in Club opperations but focus is on front of the house opperations, budget management, and marketing.  Club has very strong Golf Pro team, Greenskeeper, and Pool supervisor.   

Job Responsibilities:

1)  Coordinate and administer Club policies

2)  Management of all facilities and staff, which includes clubhouse, golf, pool, platform tennis and grounds

3)  Attend monthly Board meetings while being available to the Board members to address their questions and concerns

4)  Establish and maintain annual budget, in partnership with Club treasurer

5)  Handle vendor negotiations and transactions as required for Club operations

6)  Ensure member and guest satisfaction

7)  Marketing duties to include: marketing the Club to the local community, promoting social events, new member recruitment and retention of current members

8)  Grow and maintain the Club’s social media presence

Candidate Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • minimum of 3-5 years experience in hotel, food service management, event planning, and/or club management (public or private)
  • experience successfully managing and leading teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • strong revenue generation skills
  • full or partial ownership managing an annual budget
  • experience with the following aspects of club management:

1) membership recruitment and retention

2) sales, marketing and promotion

3) food and beverage operations

4) financial planning and oversight

5) event planning and coordination
