Erin Hills has hosted the 2008 US Women's Amateur Public Links Championship, 2011 Men's US Amateur Championship, 2015 Wisconsin State Amatuer, 2017 Men's U.S. Open, 2022 USGA Mid-Am Championship and will host the 2025 Women's U.S. Open. In addition Erin Hills plays host to a yearly intercollegiate tournament hosted by Marquette University and hosts 14 of the top rated NCCAA golf teams in the country for a 3 day tournament.

The Village Clubhouse Dining Room Serves daily meals including a world class breakfast from 6am - 1030am, ala carte lunch menu from 1030am-5pm, and a Midwestern style steakhouse menu from 5pm - 10pm. Guests can choose to sit inside the dining room or the back patio overlooking the golf course. Guests can choose to dine within the Irish Pub, an attached sports lounge, or outside on the back patio consisting of tables and fire pits. On course food and beverage is served from a beverage cart on the front nine, serving small snacks and an assortment of beverages, Our Halfway house serves small fare, beverage, and snacks between holes 9 & 10, and another house on hole #13 which serves snacks and beverages. Lastly, guests can choose to dine in 3 of our private rooms. The Galway Room, Dublin Room, or Erin Room accommodate up to 24 guests each and perfect for an intimate experience.

Erin Hills Golf Course is a destination championship public golf course located in Southeastern Wisconsin. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Kettle Moraine region of Wisconsin about 45 minutes northwest of Milwaukee, Erin Hills was born in 2004 and is already an instant classic being awarded the 2011 Men's U.S. Amateur, 2017 Men's U.S. Open, 2022 Men's U.S. Mid-Amateur and the 2025 Women's U.S. Open.  Erin Hills is consistently voted in the top 10 best public golf course in the United States by Golf Digest Magazine.

Erin Hills is a non-member, 100% public golf facility. In addition to it's championship golf course, world class practice faciltiy, and multiple dining facilities, Erin Hills hosts overnight lodging for guests by way of 5 cottages, each 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom and a common area as well as 11 Irish bed & breakfast style rooms in our lodge. Erin Hills total is 37 beds on property. 

Staying true to Erin Hills mission to create the ultimate golf experience a tee time and or overnight reservation is needed to access the property and gain use of its faciities. 

Club is open 7 days per week, 6 months per year.

Food and Beverage Intern

Brief Job Description

The Food and Beverage Internship is a seasonal position, who will work with the Director of Food and Beverage to help achieve operational goals and standards within the food and beverage department. The Village Clubhouse Dining Room/Irish Pub/Outside Hospitality rotation will include valuable experience in the staffing, coordination, service and management of services provided in our dining venues, including two restaurants, three outside venues including beverage carts and halfway house, and special events. Interns will work closely with Erin Hills Management.

Food and Beverage Attendant

  • Weekly service rotation as server, bartender or outside services to understand the food & beverage department from all aspects
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through anticipating needs, knowledge, and service techniques
  • Develop service standards and technique in all food and beverage venues
  • Consult opening check list to ensure all service areas are properly set up
  • Check tee sheets and daily events for detailed charging information including Google Docs and table set up as needed
  • Maintaining floor presence and greeting guests upon arrival
  • Staying updated on current menu choices, allergens, daily specials and menu variations
  • Develop SOP’s for all front of house operations

Culinary

  • Rotate through a culinary rotation to understand how the back of house operates during service
  • Work with the Executive Chef on preparations of recipes, events and daily prep work
  • Work pantry shifts during both AM and PM service
  • Develop SOP’s for all back of house operations

Administrative

  • Work with the Director of Food and Beverage to understand how scheduling, payroll and budgeting are processed
  • Develop managerial skills and learn how to create your own personal management styles
  • Create a personal project to be developed throughout the season (Project will be presented to the management team at the completion of the season)

Candidate Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Student pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Prior food and beverage experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, wine and spirits is preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
