Special Club Features

Shuttle Meadow Country Club, a classic 18-hole golf course and recreation complex, is located at 51 Randecker Lane, Kensington, CT, the geographical center of the state. Founded in 1899 by a group of area industrialists, the golf course subsequently built in 1916, designed by renowned architect (and twice British Open Champion), Willie Park, Jr., has been privileged to host such prestigious events as the  U.S. Amateur Qualifying Tournament as well as numerous Connecticut State Golf Association Championships.

Today, the club's 315 members, their families and guests share a respect for traditional family life and an interest in varied athletic and social activities, including tennis, platform tennis, and swimming, in addition to the classic golf course. Social activities at Shuttle Meadow are designed to appeal to all ages and many interests in a country club atmosphere.

Special emphasis is placed on the family. While  traditional annual events, like the Fireworks Party, Candlelight Ball, Junior Sports Banquet and Easter Egg Hunt date back decades, more recent innovations, like the Father-Daughter Dinner Dance and Patio Parties also attract enthusiastic family participation.

Club is open 6 days per week, 11 months per year.
