The pool complex includes one full competition pool, a dive well, and a baby pool. Cabana Bar and fully renovated Shark Shack provide service to entire pool deck.

State of the art fitness facility opened in Fall 2014 and offers cardio, strength training, functional fitness, and a variety of group exercise classes, personal and group training opportunities, reformer pilates, and nutrition services.

Newly renovated member dining rooms opened in October 2022 to a very excited membership. Additional seating, covered patios with heaters and fans, and newly designed salad bar and chef's kitchen are features of the new dining rooms. Banquet rooms are currently under renovation and are slated to open in May, 2023.

Special Club Features

The Club has a long history and is a very important part of its members’ lives.  There are several generations of family legacy members and the membership is fully committed to being good stewards of their club’s facilities and have consistently maintained, upgraded, and expanded the campus facilities.  

The Myers Park neighborhood of Charlotte is considered one of the City’s prestigious addresses and includes an area of fine homes and tree-lined streets.  Myers Park Country Club has been an integral part of the Charlotte community for that entire time, and most members live within a very short distance of the Club.

The Club is open for dining throughout the year (some operating seasonally or weather permitting), with a wide variety of options available to members and their guests. The multiple dining options include the upscale Byron Nelson Dining Room, Tavern 21, Oakwood Cafe casual family dining, Men’s Lounge, and adjoining outside dining venues. The Club hosts a number of large and more personalized events, special occasions, and activities as part of its over $4.0M food and beverage operation.  The Club is well known for its culinary operation, and an array of amenities, including highly regarded golf, tennis, fitness, and pool operations. All, of which, are critical to the overall experience and satisfaction of the membership.

 

Myers Park Country Club is located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina and is one of the premier clubs in the city. The club has received the honors of being a premier Club both in America and abroad. Myers Park Country Club serves over 1180 families with the majority living less than two miles from the Club. The clubhouse is approximately 68,000 square feet and is wrapping up a $28 million renovation.

Manager-in-Training: Food and Beverage Focused

Brief Job Description

Would you like to experience the inner workings of a private club’s food and beverage service department?  MPCC proudly institutes a robust Manager in Training program for college graduates looking for the training and guidance necessary to become a Food and Beverage Manager.  While there is a heavy focus in food and beverage, our MITs rotate through various other departments to better prepare them for their career path. If you’d like to take a dive into the real-life utilization of things such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, interviewing and hiring, and purchasing, come check us out!

Job Training Includes:

  • Work alongside the food and beverage service team to serve members in a la carte, banquet, and pool service dining spaces.
  • Collaborate with management team to oversee pool snack bar service in the summertime.
  • Rotate through all departments of the club to gain a global understanding of the operation.
  • Resolve member complaints and display effective service recovery tactics.
  • Contribute to various managerial tasks, including inventory, scheduling, hiring, training, etc.
  • Participate in learning opportunities, as provided - including club tours, CMAA education, reading assignments, projects, and more.
  • Complete year-end project as assigned by internship coordinator.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, positive, friendly attitude.
  • Hardworking, highly motivated.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Drive to learn, ability to problem solve.
  • Prior hospitality or food & beverage experience preferred.
  • Recent graduate, or graduating senior, from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in hospitality business management.
  • Ability to work in a variety of work environments and roles - indoors, outdoors, seated, and standing/walking.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Position will require long periods of standing and walking. The employee should be able to lift, move, and/or carry up to 15 pounds, as well as carry out various functions that may require pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Final candidates will be subject to a background investigation.

Educational Requirements

Recent graduate of hospitality program preferred.
