Located in Westfield, New Jersey, Echo Lake is an 18-hole private equity club with over 750 members across all membership categories. The Club prides itself on its family-oriented environment, championship golf course, pool, and paddle program. Recently, the Club underwent a 12-million-dollar clubhouse renovation, significantly enhancing the facility. The new building boasts three bars, state of the art kitchen, a banquet area, multi-level dining, expansive patios, and views of the Manhattan Skyline. In 2021, the Echo Lake Clubhouse won “Clubhouse Renovation of the Year, from Club Inc. Magazine. The Club is on a waitlist for membership and has a long-term employment history.

Assistant Clubhouse Manager

Brief Job Description

The Assistant Clubhouse Manager works closely with the Clubhouse Manager; they ensure that all staff provides members and their guests with an elevated dining experience. The Assistant Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the operation of all aspects of the club in the absence of the Clubhouse Manager and performs specific tasks as requested. Duties include but are not limited to:

Responsible for staff performance, including positive reinforcement and performance reviews.
Orientation and training of new staff
Greets guests and manages service on a routine basis.
Maintains appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities.
Addresses member and guest complaints and advises Clubhouse Manager of corrective actions taken.
Respect and upholds member policies, rules, and traditions.
Enforces established rules, regulations, and guidelines for all staff.
Generating pre and post-P/L reports

Candidate Qualifications

The Assistant Clubhouse Manager is someone who will have the following:

Minimum of three years of service in clubs
Extensive F&B knowledge.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to stand for 6-8 hours.
Jonas Club Software knowledge is a bonus.
