Job Description
Greenville Country Club is a 36-hole private club seeking 2 highly motivated and eager interns for the 2024 season.
• Seeking one intern for our Chanticleer Course. This course is a Robert Trent Jones design/Rees Jones renovated course ranked as the #1 course in the upstate of S.C. and a top 5 golf course in the state of S.C. The course has A-1 bentgrass greens, Zeon zoysia tees and 419 bermuda grass fairways.
• Seeking one intern for our Riverside Course. This course is a Brian Silva 2007 re-design with newly converted Champion greens, 419 bermuda fairways and tees. The intern will develop moisture management skills on the greens and golf course as well as every aspect of managing a crew, mowing all grasses properly, irrigation/drainage repair, and proper tournament prep and set-up.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be detailed oriented and enthusiastic, and have the ability to multi-task.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and strive to be part of a team environment.
- Be able to stand, walk, climb stairs for extended period of time, as well as lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Show an eagerness to learn, be self-motivated, hardworking, have a positive attitude, and fully committed to the position for the full duration of the internship.
Educational Requirements
Actively pursuing a degree in Agronomy or Agriculture.
