Job Description

Merchandising Assistant

The Merchandising Assistant’s maintains the overall presentation of the golf shop ensuring the merchandise is organized and retail merchandised is presented for sale in professional manner. The Merchandising Assistant will provide customer assistance in all aspects of the retail golf operation. Assist with coordination and promotion of apparel in conjunction with the Merchandising Manager.

To be successful in this role, you thrive in working in a fast-paced, member-driven environment. You have a keen ability to establish and maintain relationships, learn quickly, work well under pressure, have the ability to multi-task, and think creatively.

This position reports to the Manager, Merchandising

Job Responsibilities:

· Create an overall positive Pro Shop shopping experience for members and their guests.

· Develop and foster member relationships.

· Work with the Sr. Director of Golf to execute the golf retail vision for the season.

· Perform quarterly inventory in conjunction with the accounting department.

· Display, signage, promotion and communication of retail offerings and events

· Receive, price, and ticket all incoming inventory and merchandise.

· Conducts business with an unwavering code of ethics and confidentiality.

· Must perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· 1-2 years’ experience in a sales or merchandising

· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

· Displays the ability to be highly motivated and effective in a team-oriented environment.

· Work knowledge of POS, specifically NorthStar, a plus

· Proficient in Microsofe Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Maintain strong analytical, written and oral communication including interpersonal skills.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
