Brief Job Description

Food and Beverage Rotational Intern

This rotational internship provides hands-on experience, through multiple departments to provide a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the private club industry with a primary focus in food and beverage. This internship is ideal for an individual looking to build their foundational food and beverage skills in the club industry. This intern will gain experience in our Ansley Room, 1912 Grille and Lounge, Banquets and Club Events in various roles such as Server Assistant, Ala Carte Server, Banquet Server, and Cocktail Server.

This internship will allow this intern to participate in a supervisory internship in the future.

Pool Supervisory Intern

This intern will gain experience leading our team of service professionals in our Pool Pavilion. While supervising pool food and beverage operations, this intern will be responsible for leading the team to their greatest potential, conduct pre-shift meetings, and exceed member expectations of service and quality. Our program is customized to meet the needs and interests of the individual to best prepare them for a career in clubs.

This internship is ideal for someone who has previously completed a club internship or has Food and Beverage experience.

Candidate Qualifications

Qualifications and Functional Skills

·         To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

·         Demonstrates transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Jonas point of sale software knowledge preferred, but not required.

·         CPR/AED certifications preferred, but not required.

·         Able to meet the physical demands and responsibilities of the position. He/she will, while regularly performing the essential functions of the job, be standing, sitting and lifting/moving items or objects over 50 pounds and sometimes lift/move items up to 100 pounds.
