Elevate your hospitality journey with Oakmont Country Club's exclusive 2024 Manager In Training Program (Seasonal, Summer)! We're on the lookout for passionate and driven hospitality students ready to immerse themselves in a challenging, engaging, and dynamic environment. This rotational-based internship is tailor-made for individuals with at least one prior "Leadership" or "Management" internship experience, offering a unique, hands-on opportunity to rotate through various departments, including but not limited to Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Lodging & Housekeeping, Accounting, and Human Resources. As a Manager-In-Training, you'll gain invaluable experience directing and leading staff, assisting with end-of-month inventory, employee training and retention, while also exploring all areas of Club Operations. Concluding the internship, you'll emerge well-versed in all aspects of Private Club Operations, with a focus in food and beverage operations, and the intricacies of event planning and execution. Candidate Qualifications
Candidate Minimum Qualifications Include:
• A passion for Hospitality
• Capability to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach; Capability to perform continuous repetitive motions.
• Ability to frequently lift objects up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the nature of Oakmont Country Club's demands.
• Exceptional communication skills to ensure effective coordination in a dynamic work environment.
• Friendly and cooperative demeanor to engage seamlessly with Members, Guests, and Staff.
Educational Requirements
Candidate Minimum Educational Qualifications include:
- Enrollment or recent-completion of a four-year Hospitality Management Program.
- RAMP Certification (Required - 30 Days after Start Date)
- Previous "Leadership" or "Management" Internship Experience; Food & Beverage experience is a plus.
- Enrollment & Engagement in local CMAA Professional or Student Chapter preferred.
