Founded in 1923, River Oaks Country Club is located in one of the fastest growing cities in the country with an exceptionally strong economy. Situated on 183 beautiful acres, just four miles from downtown Houston, the Club offers a full gamut of recreational and social amenities to include a 1923 Donald Ross designed golf course recently renovated by Tom Fazio, a well-equipped and active four bay golf teaching center, extensive tennis facilities including eight clay and eight hard courts, aquatics, a state-of-the-art fitness center and an elegant clubhouse offering a variety of member dining and event spaces. The Club celebrated 100 years of service to the membership and the community in 2023. Just before that milestone, a $28 million-dollar addition on the East End of the Clubhouse was completed to include four new swimming pools, expanded outdoor recreation facilities, a 250-seat poolside dining outlet, new employee facilities, additional private event space, and youth activities center.
River Oaks Country Club is considered among the nation’s premier private clubs. The Club has a rich golf, tennis and social history and holds a prominent position in the lives of its multigenerational membership.
