The club provides members a variety of dining venues seasonally featuring both indoor and outdoor casual dining in season. Formal dining is offered during the winter holidays.

Special Club Features

The Country Club of Buffalo is the premier country club in Western New York. The Club is rich in tradition and heritage, with many legacy families enjoying membership for generations.  The Membership has strong respect and admiration for our employees and considers them like family.  The Club features a challenging Donald Ross designed golf course, which has been recently restored, has been ranked and recognized nationally. 

The Club’s amenities include golf, tennis, swimming, trap, skeet, five-stand, and brushwalk sport shooting, six overnight guest rooms, and paddle tennis.  The Duane Lyman designed Clubhouse encompasses 55,000 square feet featuring stately living rooms, three dining rooms, and various private party rooms.  In recent years the Club has embarked on a series of major improvements; in 2013 completed two major constructions projects; a $2.1M restoration of the golf course and a $2.8M expansion and renovation of the men’s locker rooms.  A ladies’ locker room renovation was completed in 2016.  In 2017 we completed a significant renovation and upgrade to member dining and added a new “Club Room” lounge bar and casual dining room.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

The Country Club of Buffalo is a family-oriented private club that prides itself on providing our Members with world-class service, amenities, and facilities. Established in 1889, CCB has a rich tradition while offering the full array of services one would expect from a modern private club. A day at CCB offers a chance to golf, play tennis, swim or shoot at our first-class shotgun range. Our dining rooms offer the opportunity to enjoy contemporary versions of classic dishes in a comfortable setting.

Interns will touch on subjects such as planning, management and forecasting, as well as daily operations of all departments. The internship is a paid employment and may act as a practicum position to deliver credits back to the college or university of choice. The CCB management team focuses on the proper training methods considered best for the Intern’s development. The early stages of hands-on training are essential to the growth of the intern ability to take on assigned tasks in the future.

Training will begin with a tour of the Club and an explanation of each area. Once comfortable with the surroundings, the intern will go through the server training program. Following this the interns will work hands on by assisting and overseeing various aspects of the Club’s daily operation. In addition to normal daily duties, the intern may be scheduled to assist with other food and beverage departments throughout the Club to gain experience.

As club events are planned throughout the season, the intern will play a vital role contributing to the success of the occasions. Over time, the intern will be assigned increased responsibilities that come with being a team leader.
