Unique Club/Facility Details

Over 300 years after the first buildings were erected on the property, 205 years after the present clubhouse was built, 160 years after the last cannon was fired in anger across the boundaries, the Fredericksburg Country Club is now a family oriented, nonprofit enterprise with over 500 members.  The golf, racquet, and pool facilities are in fine condition and in active use by all of our members.  

The original charm of the 1819 mansion has been preserved with later additions adapted to contemporary styles and customs.  It is a place of luncheons, meetings, youth activities, parties, banquets, weddings, dinners, and camaraderie.  

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Golf Facilities

18 Hole course originally designed by James Harrison in 1925 renovated by Forse Design in 2002 and recently updated by Jim Nagle of Forse Design. Practice facilities include driving range, putting green, and dedicated short game practice areas.

Job Description

The Food & Beverage Intern will engage in various roles at the club to gain comprehensive experience in hospitality management.  Responsibilities include assisting in daily operations of dining services supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, attending weekly Food & Beverage department meetings and ensuring exceptional service delivery to members and guests.  Interns will also participate in supervisory duties across multiple outlets, working side-by-side with the Food & Beverage Director, assisting with Wine Club, ordering and inventory management, attending Member Mentor program, leading department special projects and learning from seasoned professionals.
