Job Description

Position Summary

The Summer Office Intern – Level II supports the club’s administrative team with day-to-day office operations, member services, event coordination, and financial record-keeping. The Level II designation reflects prior internship experience or relevant coursework. This role is aligned with the CMAA competency framework, providing hands-on exposure to private club management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare board meeting materials, agendas, and minutes; maintain club records and correspondence
  • Process accounts receivable/payable, reconcile member statements, and assist with month-end closing
  • Support onboarding of seasonal staff including paperwork, orientation scheduling, and uniform coordination
  • Serve as front-office point of contact for members and guests; manage phones, inquiries, and reservations
  • Create and distribute member newsletters, event flyers, and digital communications
  • Coordinate event logistics including vendor communication, room setups, signage, and registration materials
  • Manage office supply inventory, mail, deliveries, and digital/physical filing systems

Assist the General Manager with special projects, reports, and strategic planning documentation

Candidate Qualifications

Required: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Club Management, Business Administration, or related field; at least one prior internship or equivalent experience in hospitality or office administration (Level II requirement); proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality; flexible schedule including occasional weekends/evenings; must be 18+.

Preferred: CMAA Student Chapter membership or familiarity with CMAA competencies; experience with club management software (Jonas, Northstar, ClubEssential); knowledge of golf operations or private club culture; CPR/First Aid certification
