For over a century, the Club has been a gathering place where women of accomplishment enjoy each other's company and pursue their interest in arts and letters, and current events. The sun-drenched rooms and terraces of the ten-story Clubhouse provide members with a variety of venues in which to hold private events.

Summer Intern – Private City Club Operations
The Cosmopolitan Club – New York, NY
Position Overview
The Cosmopolitan Club is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support the General Manager. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a private club environment while working across multiple areas of operations.
The Intern will provide direct administrative support to the General Manager and assist with a wide range of projects and departmental initiatives, offering exposure to hospitality management, member services, events, and club administration.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the General Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, and project tracking. Assist with preparation of reports and internal communications, and support initiatives across departments such as Membership, Events, Food & Beverage, and Operations. Conduct research and compile data to inform decision-making, help coordinate meetings and events, and maintain organized records and documentation. Participate in operational walkthroughs, assist with special projects, and serve as a professional and courteous representative of the Club.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university (Club Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred) with strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and proficiency with modern technology and Microsoft Office are required. Must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, along with an interest in hospitality or private club operations.

Proactive and eager to learn, with strong problem-solving abilities. Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with a team-oriented and positive attitude.
Internship Details
- Location: The Cosmopolitan Club, New York
- Reporting To: General Manager
- Schedule: Full-time, June and July (2-month internship)
- Compensation: Paid internship ($20 per hour)
